Chapter Sixteen

Dmitri returned home, shaking, and feeling the urge to vomit again. He hurt Viktor because of the rage inside him. He didn’t mean hurt him as badly as he had. He felt like he must have gone insane. Surely, no human being acted in that manner. He took a quick shower, put on some jeans and sat on his recliner with a drink and a cigarette. Adrik would take care of Viktor, but he guessed Viktor wouldn’t be hurting Brennen anymore. He needed Viktor out of his life. He didn’t trust himself around him anymore. He brought out the deepest parts of Dmitri’s dark side. So damn dark.

He looked at his watch and saw it was midnight and he’d had no message or call from Brennen. Dinner couldn’t have lasted so long. He called Brennen, but he didn’t pick up his phone. Brennen had left Mark’s card on his desk this morning, and Dmitri had stuffed it into his wallet at the time. He pulled it out and called Mark.

“Mr. Miller speaking.”

“Mark, this is Dmitri. Where’s Brennen?” Dmitri tried to contain his anger and jealousy.

“He left with a friend.”

“A friend? What friend?”

“He didn’t say. He said you were dealing with some other issues, so he called his friend.”

“He has no friends. What issues? I have no issues going on. I told him I would pick him up.” Dmitri gave up trying to hold back his emotions.

“He looked stressed out. He received a text from a friend, I guess. Then he told me he had a headache and was getting a ride with his friend. I offered to take him home, but he said he wanted to go with his friend,” Mark insisted.

“I’m worried about him. Sometimes he gets things in his head and there’s no telling what he’ll do. But Mark, he has no friends. Brennen doesn’t answer his cell either, which isn’t like him.”

“That’s quite troubling. He seemed upset by the text message. I told him to call if he needed help, but I’ve gotten no phone call or text from him since I left the restaurant.”

“Sorry to disturb you at this late hour. Thank you.” Dmitri ended the call.

Where the fuck was he at that hour? His cock and ass were locked up like a vault. So he couldn’t be getting fucked unless he had figured a way around the locks. He hadn’t planned on Brennen wearing the devices all night. He must have gotten upset or angry at Dmitri for some reason. I don’t understand. Everything was fine when I dropped him at Mark’s office. Maybe the butt plug hurt him and he’s angry at me for making him wear it.

He punched Mischa’s number.

“What’s up?” Mischa asked.

“Brennen is missing. He was with the lawyer for dinner, then left with a friend.”

“What friend? He has no friends,” Mischa said.

“I know that, Mischa. I’m worried about him.” Dmitri slugged his drink back.

“Did you beat his ass?”

“No, I fucked him; if you must know our private business. Everything was fine.
